The Pilsen Card: history, development and successes

The multi-function chip card project in Pilsen went live on 1 May 2004 in two parts – Check-in System and Reservation System. The necessary technological base for the card centre was built together with these two systems.

2007 Launch of system of self-service zones – self-service ticketing terminals
2008 Pilsen Card introduced as alternative library card for City of Pilsen Library

Mobile telephone e-wallet – testing phase

 

Pilsen Card Bonus Programme launched

 

Car-parking payments enabled

Mobile phone Pilsen Card – limited commercial edition

 

Text-message tickets introduced

 

Mobile telephone as reader for ticket inspectors

Electronic confirmation of student status between university and PCTC

Pilsen Card introduced as ticketing card in Pilsen Region Integrated Transport System

 

Launch of Pilsen Card e-shop
